Designing & Building Commercial Aquatic Life Support Systems

33,500 Gallon Saltwater Exhibit
Guy Harvey Resort, St. Pete Beach, FL

IAS was engaged to design a life support system to fit within a very limited mechanical space located at a challenging relative elevation to the aquarium.  Utilizing skid-mounted Integrated-Aqua™ filtration systems, IAS was able to deliver a successful design-build system to fulfill the client’s need for superior water clarity and quality, saltwater makeup capacity and a medically isolated quarantine/holding tank system.

Added to construction plans well after groundbreaking, IAS was challenged to integrate a commercial-scale life support system for this aquarium into a casino which was rapidly taking shape.  Working under a tight opening schedule, IAS delivered a successful design-build system constructed in an underground vault below the aquarium.  Our AquaPLC™ monitoring and control system integrated seamlessly into the casino building management system, allowing 24/7 monitoring and remote alarming to minimize the need for operational staff to enter the vault for system checks.
