Assembly/Manufacturing Technician

Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc. specializes in designing, building and supplying high-end water treatment systems and equipment for use in aquaculture, aquatic research, aquaponics and commercial aquatic exhibits. IAS currently has an opening for a Full Time Regular position for an entry to mid-level Fabricator to build, assemble, crate and ship our advanced products and systems.

Qualifications: 
We are looking for an individual that has prior fabrication experience. This person will be working with sheet plastic, PVC plumbing, metal, wood and other building materials. If you are comfortable working with your hands and using common shop tools (table saws, panel saws, miter saws, routers, drills and drill presses, sanders, and other common hand tools) then you may be a good fit for this position. In your cover letter, please describe some of your fabrication experience. (If you have electrical wiring or PVC plumbing experience, please describe that too.)

Educational background or experience with mechanical equipment assembly and/or electrical wiring is a plus. The right person will have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, be flexible and able to complete a range of tasks and functions successfully to help the company complete projects on time and within budget. Must be hard working, easy to work with, detail oriented, and have pride of workmanship. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Description: 
This is a hands-on position to support all functions of assembling, building, testing, documenting and packaging systems and equipment. Duties include assembling, mounting, plumbing and wiring equipment such as pumps, filters tanks and sensors. Crating and preparing units for shipment is also part of the job.
This position will also assist with receiving products in. The position will require you to safely use a forklift at times, so experience is a plus, but we can train the right person.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to read electrical schematics, engineering drawings and Bills of Materials in order complete the job as required.
