The most common types of media used in aquaculture include biofiltration, solids filtration and chemical filtration.  For biofiltration, IAS offers a high-quality moving bed bioreactor (MBBR) media with very high surface area available in three different densities to meet the specific requirements of your aquatic system.   For mechanical filtration using sand filter housings we offer several alternatives to sand media which avoid clogging and channeling even in organically loaded systems.    For a permanent solids filtration media for aquaculture we recommend the use of PermaBeads.
