The Mertailor Aquarium offers a unique underwater experience where visitors can interact with mermaids and a variety of marine life. Featured on the Netflix series MerPeople, the aquarium showcases the artistry and community behind mermaiding, bringing their magical world to a global audience.
Integrated Aqua has provided system design and supply of all life support equipment for the largest exhibit at the Mertailor’s Mermaid Aquarium Encounter in Lecanto, FL. The performance tank is 13,000 gallons, and features 10 different species of fish, including large sharks and rays. And the highlight of this tank is the Mermaid show four times a day, where divers show off their skills and the unique Mermaid tails custom made at the facility. The filtration system is an Integrated Filtration Module, with Hex Drum filter mounted in an HDPE sump, BioE moving bed biofilter, fractionator, and skid mounted pump system with UV Sterilizers and controls. The system has been running for the past few years and the Mertailor, his Mermaids, and the fish, are all pleased by the systems performance and water quality.
